Plotline is a well-made app that turns TikTok and Instagram saves into places on a map. If you are on Android, though, you cannot use it yet. feedtrip does the same core job and runs on Android, iPhone and the web. Here is an honest comparison to help you choose.
Is Plotline on Android?
Not at the time of writing (October 2026). Plotline describes itself as an iOS travel app, and its own articles say it is iOS-only with an Android waitlist. If that changes, this page will be out of date, so check the Google Play Store for the latest.
That is the main reason people look for an alternative: a group trip where half the friends have Android phones, or simply an Android phone of your own.
What the two apps have in common
Both apps start from the same idea. You find a travel video on TikTok or Instagram, share it to the app, and the app pulls out every place mentioned rather than saving the video as a whole. Both geocode those places, give each a category and put them on your map. Both have a free plan, and both can turn saved places into a plan for your trip.
Where feedtrip is different
- Android, iPhone and the web. feedtrip is on the Google Play Store and the App Store, and the same account works in a browser at feedtrip.app, which is handy for planning on a laptop.
- Trips sorted by city automatically. You do not file anything: a video about Lisbon lands in your Lisbon trip, one that covers two cities creates two trips, and duplicates are merged even when creators spell a name differently.
- Timed days on foot. Plan my day picks an order for the places you choose, gives each one a time (meals at meal times), adds a short note per stop and draws the walking route between them, starting from your hotel if you like. Days add up into a multi-day itinerary.
- Google Maps links count for free. Sharing a Google Maps place adds it to your trip without using one of your monthly video scans.
- Three languages. The app is available in English, French and Spanish.

Where Plotline may suit you better
To be fair to Plotline, it does some things feedtrip does not. According to Plotline's own site, it can save places from YouTube videos and travel blog posts, while feedtrip works from TikTok, Instagram and Google Maps. Plotline also offers shared collections you build with friends, and offline reading. If you are on an iPhone and those features matter most to you, Plotline is worth a look.
